Blas Isasi

Blas Isasi is a Peruvian visual artist living and working in New Orleans. He holds an MFA in Sculpture from Tulane University and a BFA in Painting from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He is also an alumnus of the post-academic program at the Jan van Eyck Academie in the Netherlands.
In 2015, he was a recipient of the Braunschweig PROJECTS Scholarship awarded by HBK (Brunswick University of the Arts) and the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. In 2021, he was an artist-in-residence at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans. His most recent solo show was presented at The Front in 2022 under the title “An idea is just the shape of a flower”.
